Step-by-Step
If you have the URL for the SharePoint site that contains the data you need to access, click that link. If you don't know the URL, you'll need to search for the site.
There are two ways to access SharePoint to begin your search.
- Log in to https://o365.dartmouth.edu/ and in the upper left corner of the window, click the select the app launcher icon . Click on the SharePoint tile from the menu that appears. This page will have a list of the sites you frequently access and a list of suggested sites. If the correct site appears click that link.

Or, log into https://dartmouth.sharepoint.com/. Use the Search in SharePoint field at the top of the window, and enter keywords that would be contained in the site you're looking for. Click the link to the correct site from the list returned by the search.
Creating a Shortcut to a SharePoint Site
Once you've found the correct site, you may want to create a link to it for easier access in the future. There are multiple ways to do this - you can add it as a favorite so when you log in via o365.dartmouth.edu it will appear in your list of favorite sites; you can create a shortcut/alias to it from your computer; you can add it as a bookmark in your browser.
Add a Site as a Favorite
In your web browser, with the SharePoint site you want to add as a favorite displaying, click the Star from the upper right corner of the window. Now, whenever you log into SharePoint via https://o365.dartmouth.edu/ this site will appear in the list of sites you are following in the left hand navigation bar and you can just click the line.
Create a ShortCut/Alias to a Site on a Macintosh Computer
In your web browser, with the SharePoint site you want to create an alias for displaying, highlight the entire URL and drag it to your desktop. This will create an icon on your desktop that, when clicked, will bring you back to this SharePoint site.
Add a Bookmark to a Site
In your web browser, with the SharePoint site you want to add as a bookmark displaying, click Add to Favorites (or press Ctrl+_D) from the upper right corner of you web browser to add this to the bookmarks for your web browser. Now, whenever you want to access this SharePoint site, simply open your Favorites (aka Bookmarks) and click the link.
Note: this option will be different depending upon the web browser you are using.
