Summary

Steps for downloading Canvas Course Content and Submissions

Body

Canvas provides several options for downloading Canvas materials from your courses pages. The following directions give an overview of the options for downloading various types of files as a student.

From your Canvas landing page:

  • Click on the Account menu in the left-hand global navigation menu in Canvas
  • Click Settings and select either Download Course Content or Download Submissions

Export Course Content

After selecting Download Course Content you will see a list of all of the courses you are currently involved in. Select the course and the select Generate EPub. Once Canvas generates the ePub, you will have the ability to Download EPUB and/or Download Associated files (this option will allow you to download .pdfs and public files in the course as a .zip file. It will not allow for downloading hidden/unpublished files or submissions).

Discussion posts will not be included in the ePub version of the course nor will you be able to interact with the course in any way.
