What “Title‑Safe” Means
-
Title‑safe (or text‑safe) is the portion of the picture where on‑screen graphics, titles, subtitles and other important information can be placed without being cut off or clipped on any playback device.
-
It is a margin inside the outer edge of the frame that accounts for variations in how TVs, monitors, projectors and streaming apps crop the picture.

Why It Still Matters
-
Legacy TV sets, phones, computers, tablets & older projectors still apply an automatic overscan that can shave up to ~10 % off each side.
-
When your video is viewed by multiple devices, keeping content in the title-safe zone guarantees one‑time placement rather than re‑key‑framing for each format.
