Phishing Method/Content
The Dartmouth Department of Safety and Security notified the Dartmouth community about a telephone scam in which a male caller claims to be a member of Safety and Security
The call shows the number 603-915-4033.
The caller claims that the recipient's child has been arrested with two others.
The caller then asks for money via Venmo to pay for a "second chance diversion program."
In cases like this, the caller or requester may also know the person’s name or other information that makes the call sound official, and the individual may be threatening.

Report the call to the Dartmouth Department of Safety and Security at 603-646-4000 or the local police agency where the call is received.
Block the caller.
