Lenel Troubleshoot unable to access button on screen Access Levels

Body

In some cases in System Administration where the fonts were too large and users were unable to add access levels.  While most the time it is resolved by setting the Screen size to a 100% display (LogPixels 96), we had one odd case for one client where a Fonts registry setting was missing, and adding it back fixed the issue.  Just sharing with you and the group in case it could help anyone out.

  1. Launch REGEDIT.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts.
  3. Locate the following keys:  - Courier 10,12,15  - MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24  - MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
  4. Double-click each string value and verify that the value data for each string is:  - COURE.FON (this is for Courier 10,12,15)  - SSERIFE.FON (this is for MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24)  - SERIFE.FON (this is for MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24)
  5. If the above string values do not exist (this might be the case on Windows 10 PCs), then you will need to create them. To do so:  - Right-click the "Fonts" folder > select New > click String Value.  - Give the String Value the same exact name(s) listed in step 3.  - Double-click the newly created string value and ensure that the value data are exactly the same as shown in step 4.
  6. Restart the PC after making any registry changes to ensure that they take effect.

You can change the resolution of your RDP session in:

Then save the settings to that sever to a .rdp shortcut on your desktop.

Play around by reducing the resolution, one notch at a time.
