Linux drivers can be downloaded from http://onyxweb.mykonicaminolta.com/OneStopProductSupport

In the Quick Search field enter and search for the model of the printer (i.e. C368), then select the result (i.e. bizhub C368).

To the right click on the Drivers tab, and scroll down to the Linux section. You will want the latest .zip for the drivers
(i.e. C759 C658_C368_C287_C3851_Series_Linux_v110001.0000.zip)

Download printer drivers and install them. Or there may only be the PPD files you need for adding a printer queue.

Then using the CUPS web access, Connect to http://127.0.0.1:631/admin, and use that interface to set up the printer queue.

You would also be able to include the Account Track information if the copier requires Account track. 

Step-by-Step

When you are prompted to login to the localhost:631/admin page, that wants the user name and password (or admin login) for your local machine.

  1. Add a printer
  2. Choose LPD/LPR Host or Printer (under the Network Printers section)
  3. Enter the host name for the printer (i.e. lpd://cskonica368.dartmouth.edu/queue)
  4. Fill in the fields for Name, Description, Location as needed
  5. DO NOT check the box to Share the Printer
  6. Click Continue
  7. In the Provide a PPD File section, click “Choose File”, then navigate to the Linux PPDs you downloaded and select the one appropriate for the copier you are setting up
  8. Click Add printer
  9. Select Options, such as Paper Source, Finisher, Punch Kit.
    • If you do not know these options, ask the department administrator, or contact the Service Desk for more assistance.
  10. Test printing.

Want to enable CUPs web interface (Mac) so you can see what it looks like?

  • Go to http://localhost:631/printers/.
  • A screen may appear saying 'Web Interface is Disabled': 
  • Open a Terminal window and enter cupsctl WebInterface=yes and click Enter.
  • Give it a minute, but then should be able to enterhttp://localhost:631/printers/ and see your printers.
  • Use the Administration tab to Add a printer.
