- Announcements
- Pages
- Assignments
- Discussions
Canvas’s Rich Content Editor has been completely overhauled in the past year and a half. Most of the changes involve updating the user interface to make it more streamlined. Canvas has grouped similar tools together, created context-specific navigation, and added the ability to make the editing window full screen. In future releases, they will also be adding an auto-save capability.

In the old editor, there was always a menu along the right-hand side of the page to add files or to link to pages and assignments in your Canvas site. The new editor is contextual and only opens the side menu when you choose the applicable menu item.
