Accessing EMS through RDS for Tuck users

Summary

This article describes a small difference between how Dartmouth and Tuck users login to EMS.

Body

Users at Tuck will need to take an extra step when logging in to EMS through RDS. Unfortunately, due to our separate domains, there is no other way to work around this issue at this time.

Note: this article does not apply to Tuck users that need to access to both EMS and OnBase through RDS. In that case they will need to request access to EMS using their Kiewit NetID, and use their NetID for both OnBase and EMS. Using different domain credentials to access different RDS apps is not a supported configuration, and OnBase requires the use of a Kiewit NetID.

  1. Navigate to RDS.DARTMOUTH.EDU.
  2. Log in to RDS with your NetID and password.
  3. After logging in to RDS, you will see a list of the applications you're subscribed to. Launch EMS
  4. A remote desktop connection will download, after opening this you will be prompted for credentials once again.
  5. Here, Tuck users must enter TUCKNT\NetID and password.
