Phishing Method

  • Email spoof of Dartmouth person requesting a the user click on a link to login and check for quarantined messages.
  • Email is triggering Phishing/User Impersonation detections successfully, and may be found in Junk folder.
  • Email is attempting to generate urgency and get the user to click on a link to submit credentials.

User Response

  • DO NOT RESPOND TO THE SENDER
  • Always be cautious when opening and viewing messages delivered to the Junk folder, there is usually something wrong with the message that has caused it to be placed in this folder.
  • Delete message and empty trash
  • If Dartmouth credentials were provided, contact the Service desk, and reset your password
