Saving a Draft Email Message

While composing a message, you might decide you are not ready to send the message.

In Outlook, you can save the message and send it at a later time by clicking the Floppy disk icon in the top left of the composing window (Save option) or Ctrl+S . The message is stored in the Drafts folder. When you are ready to send the message, simply open the message from the Drafts folder, edit it as needed, then click Send.

In Apple Mail, click the Save As Draft button to save the message in the Drafts folder.
