How to Use the Bindle App

Tags COVID-19

Bindle is the fastest and easiest way for you to pass Dartmouth's health screenings and enter an event.  Bindle allows you to securely store your COVID-19 test and vaccine records and easily prove your health status whenever going into a shared space.

We highly recommend downloading the Bindle app and creating a Dartmouth College Entry Pass prior to arriving at an event.  Depending on the event location and number of attendees, wi-fi or cell service may be limited.

Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Use the Bindle App

  1. To create an account - a Bindle wallet - you will need
    • to be age 13 or older,
    • a profile photo/selfie,
    • a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card, recent negative test result (administered within 72 hours of the event), or COVID recovery documentation, and
    • a strong wi-fi connection or data connection to download the Bindle app.
  2. Download the Bindle app to your mobile device by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your device and search for My Bindle.
  3. Open My Bindle and set up your account by uploading your profile photo and entering your name, date of birth, email, and mobile number.
    • Set up your Bindle wallet using the Manual Set Up option, unless you have a digital vaccine QR code in which case you can use the Auto Import option.
  4. You'll be prompted to type in a verification code that is sent to your email.
  5. Next, to add a health record, in the menu on the bottom of the screen, click on My Certificates then tap the "+" icon to add a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination record card or negative test result.
    • For the question "When was the vaccination administered" enter the date of the last dose of the vaccination, including a booster dose.
  6. Then, to create an Entry Pass for Dartmouth College, tap My Passes in the menu at the bottom of the screen, then tap the search icon (the magnifying glass) and type in "Dartmouth College" in the search field. Once the Dartmouth College tile appears, tap on it, then tap Create Entry Pass.
  7. You'll be presented with an Entry Pass including your selfie and an expiration date. The pass will be stored in your Bindle wallet in My Passes and can be reused until it expires.
  8. When you arrive at your next event, our staff will view your Entry Pass to verify your compliance with Dartmouth's COVID-19 health and safety requirements.
